Mets pick up Pelfrey's option

Bart Hubbuch reports that the New York Mets have picked up the 2010 option on pitcher Mike Pelfrey.  The Mets will pay Pelfrey $500,000 in 2010 because he is not arbitration eligible.

Friday the Mets officially declined the option on J.J. Putz for 2010.
